TNN19: Five Dangerous Issues
Date Published
On this edition of TNN, the network discussed the most important and dangerous issues facing Egyptian society. Joining the desk were Mariam Abdelfattah, Head of Internet Chaos, and Amr Ragaei, Director of Not Listening.
The panel began with people who say they are five minutes away while still in bed. Mariam condemned the practice. Amr argued that it creates the illusion of a shorter wait and therefore reduces resentment. The panel then addressed people who send twenty TikToks a day but do not like the TikToks sent to them. Mariam objected strongly. Amr explained that he makes TikToks but does not look at anything else.
The third issue was people who clap when the airplane lands. Mariam described it as random and advised against it. Amr argued that surviving inside a tin can is worth celebrating. The fourth issue was people who do not follow Omar Sadek; both guests agreed this was a serious societal problem. The final issue was people who send fifteen voice notes of three seconds each. Mariam demanded one complete voice note. Amr compared each note to a musical piece in a larger album. The exchange deteriorated, and the host cut the feed.
TNN apologizes to the audience for what occurred.
